This India-based role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for Global Travel Retail (GTR), New Zealand, and Australia, in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and B-F internal policies. Key responsibilities include providing accounting and compliance guidance, leading system implementations, managing special projects, and adopting new accounting standards. Additionally, this position will support Regional Controllers with process improvements and ad hoc analysis for these markets.

Your Role in the Spotlight:

Integrity of Financial Records

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data for New Zealand/Pacific Islands, including a newly acquired entity.
  • Handle daily accounting tasks (journal entries, ledger reconciliations, tax compliance, month-end close) for New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with GTR Finance and local teams to address accounting issues and provide guidance.
  • Support tax and statutory compliance in Australia.
  • Provide accounting support to the Australian business in partnership with key stakeholders.

Analysis & Business Partnering

  • Assist the Regional Controller with financial performance analysis and process improvement.
  • Work closely with Corporate Tax, Legal, Treasury, and international accounting teams.

Internal Control

  • Monitor internal control effectiveness, ensuring compliance with policies and segregation of duties.

Organizational & People Management

  • Provide leadership, direction, and development for direct reports.
  • Ensure adherence to the B-F Code of Conduct and corporate/local policies.

Special Projects

  • Lead the integration of a newly acquired New Zealand business.
  • Drive process improvements and initiatives in assigned markets.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Support ad hoc functional or regional requests.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 4-5 years of local experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience using Google Sheets, Docs and Slides.
  • CA/CPA Qualified.
  • Strong Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and local tax regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and trust.
  • Experience in the FMCG or liquor industry (preferred).
  • People management experience (preferred).
